Time & Place. The Chapter Meeting was held at 12 noon on USF Tampa in the MSC Sabal Room.
Attendance. Twelve UFF members, including eight members of the Council.
Minutes. Minutes of the 30 June meeting approved.
President’s Report.
- Discussion of consolidation.
New Business.
- The chapter meetings this fall will be on August 24, September 7 & 21, October 5 & 19, November 2 & 16 & 30. The September 7 meeting will be at USF St. Petersburg.
Reports.
- Membership. The chapter made plans for the fall recruitment campaign.
- We will meet with colleges and departments.
- Should we pay members to recruit members?
- Should we give rebates to new members?
- We will publicize benefits of membership.
- The September 7 chapter meeting will be on USF St. Petersburg, and this should be publicized.
- The USFSP Faculty Senate meets on Aug. 17, and we should have an event there. This should be publicized.
- MOtion made and seconded to authorize the Membership Chair to make reservations of Marshall Student Center rooms for recruiting sessions. Motion approved.
- Publicity. Website repairs continue.
- Treasury. We are solvent.
